Where Did November Go?

Mommy was busy learning about yoga while Daddy and CJ were spending more time together. We have pictures and we'll backfill in November as time permits - now to get ready for the holidays.

The Tree Hunt

In Oregon you can't let a little wet weather deter you from your outdoor activities. Today we headed out to find our Christmas tree and the drops of rain started to fall as we left the house. The rain really picked up (little B was soaked!), but between that and being a little early in our search, we ended up having the tree farm almost to ourselves.

Grandma Time

In the morning we took Grandma out for breakfast to celebrate her upcoming birthday:

Later in the day, CJ and Grandma had some quality craft time. They worked with paper and embossing and put together this beautiful card, which CJ plans to use to write her letter to Santa this year:

Cousin Love

Tonight Mama got some love from the cousins at Grandma's house.

Park Play

We took advantage of the sunny day to check out a park between Grandma's house and the cousin's. It was beautiful and the kids had a great time playing there.

Thanksgiving

This year we enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma W's house with some of the cousins.

Editing

Editing is important. How am I supposed to feel about sending my child to the local public school when they send out "A Update For our Neighbors"? Maybe I should send them "An Update" on editing before you send out a mass mailing to parents.

Giving Thanks

It's that time of year again. Tonight we planted some paperwhite bulbs for the holiday season.

Can't Stay Away

CJ loves the Lego exhibit at the Children's Museum. Today Daddy took her for a visit and this is the masterpiece she built.

Lantern Walk Poem

This morning CJ read a poem her class wrote in anticipation of tonight's lantern walk. I tried to post the video, but think it's a bit too long. She did a great job standing up in front of the whole school at their weekly morning meeting. The girls who read were so confident and used microphones. Wow.

All I Want for Christmas

So cliche, but so appropriate!

This one fell out while she was brushing her teeth to go to school.

We put it right in a tooth box to save for the tooth fairy tonight.

Lost

Not only did CJ "lose" her tooth at school today, she also "lost" her tooth at school. Apparently it popped out during outside time and she cleaned it off, but somewhere between then and Daddy picking her up it got lost and they weren't able to find it. So she wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy, explaining that. And now she has a case in her backpack, just in case the other top one comes out at school.
