Mama and Daddy celebrated their 16th anniversary by taking a drive up to Stone Brewing's World Bistro and Gardens.  Of course CJ and McKenna joined us.

In lieu of a party this year, we decided to make a special trip to LA so CJ could pick out her birthday present herself.

A friend of CJ's surprised her with a going away/early birthday present.  She loves Pillow Pets and this is the biggest one she has now.  She wanted it to ride home from school in her car seat.

CJ finally broke into the Easter Bunny tonight after dinner!

She is so good at rationing her treats.

We made a last minute visit to Seattle this weekend to celebrate CJ's cousin's birthday a little early.

On the card she made for B, CJ wrote "secret - I can't believe you are 5!"

Neighborhood Egg Hunt

Today we joined the neighbors a few blocks from home for an egg hunt and potluck.  The weather was awesome so we spent hours outside, soaking in the sunshine.  CJ loaded up on more candy filled eggs.  Several even had money inside - we have nice neighbors!

Easter Basket Treasure Hunt

CJ outsmarted the Bunny this year and ended up finding the treasure (the basket) before finding the small treats along the way and before Mama and Daddy even got up.

She went back and collected the other goodies.  

She seemed pretty happy with her pile of treasure loot!

CJ wasn't done hunting for eggs and the weather was nice so we stopped by another park

We started this sunny Sunday at the egg hunt we've been going to for the last few years.  

CJ was excited that our neighbors met us there.

She was much more successful this year than in past years.

Daddy picked up this lovely set of chocolate critters for CJ for Valentine's Day. There is a bunny, a mouse, a chocolate lab and a cat. Super cute.

We pulled out some leftover Valentine's supplies and CJ got right to work. She's making each one unique. Very nice!
