Taha'a

As the boat came in to anchor, we saw some of the infamous over-the-water bungalows:
a rainbow:
and some of the private islands, one of which was where we would spend the day.

Raiatea Flowers

First Port - Raiatea

These pictures were taken as we arrived in to Raiatea. One advantage of the two hour time change was that we often woke early. Most of the island was said to be closed as it was Sunday. We took part in a snorkeling adventure and left the camera on the big ship, taking only our disposable underwater camera with us. We'll have to see if any of those photos turn out.

The P G

Here's the little cruise ship:

Our room was right over the open windows in the tender boat.

Tahiti's A Long Way Away

After a 4 am wake-up, a taxi ride, a flight to LA and over 8 hours on another to Tahiti (the flight attendants changed outfits during the flight!), we sweated out the customs line in Tahiti, got our leis and boarded a bus for the drive to the cruise ship. Once on board and our pictures were taken, we were given champagne and had some drinks on the deck before room service and heading back to bed. It was dark so we didn't get to see much. What a long day.

CJ wanted to be sure Mama brought her pop-up art, so we took a few pictures with it along the journey to document our day.

The Cousins

The cousins are coming. And some of them arrived today. CJ is so lucky to have her family volunteer to come stay with her and the puppies while Mama and Daddy take a little work trip. Daddy got in an enthralling Princess story before bedtime. I'm sure they will have a blast while we are gone.

Moving On Up

This has been a big week for CJ. Not only did she finish the kindergarten level math book, but today we were told that she's moving up in gymnastics, too. She's now going to be a Tiny Flipper, instead of a Tiny Tumbler 2. She'll be learning more intermediate skills. Way to go.
