Ready to Trick-or-Treat
The Owl's Head
The Loot - all organized by type
Even after a box of Dots, the front teeth are still hanging in there.
Wonder if we'll ever need a visit from the Tooth Fairy.

Two Party Sunday

In the afternoon Daddy took CJ to a trampoline birthday party for a school friend. This evening she donned her costume (finished by Mama last night in the nick of time) for a neighborhood Halloween party. Pizza, ice cream, crafts, friends, candy - CJ had a grand time.

The Girls' Games

CJ had the day off of school (conferences) and we decided to stay close to home to give her a chance to get healthy. The sun came out so CJ really wanted to get out. We went out back and had a game of frisbee toss followed by a hula hoop contest. No surprise that CJ won, no matter which of our 3 hula hoops she used.

Then Mama needed to study a bit of yoga for her class so we rolled out our mats in the living room, only to be joined by Little B. She was trying to convince us to feed her dinner a couple of hours early. It's really had to do a downward dog while being licked by a dog who is under your body. Eventually she got her way - she really is persistent!

Pumpkin Family

Daddy and CJ got their pumpkins done over the weekend and Mama finished hers today. Daddy's had a "goo" mouth, Mama's was a mummy face and CJ got her inspiration from some window decorations we have (and some cutting assistance from Daddy).

The Sniffles

CJ's home sick today. She just didn't look well after her dentist visit yesterday and we went home and rested and got her to bed super early. She looked better this morning, but to be safe we are planning on taking it easy.

Another Great Report Card

After school today we took CJ to the dentist, where she got another great report card. Those top two teeth are so wiggly and you can see the new tooth under the more wiggly one. They predicted that we'll be having a tooth fairy visit somewhere between two days and 2-3 weeks. We'll see. Plus we found out that her 6-year molars had made an appearance on the bottom. Who knew?

Mama's Day

Here's CJ with her gift for Mama. She did a great job decorating the package with stamps and coloring it. There was a whole story behind the design.
And here's a picture CJ took of Little B trying to beg for a bite of the yummy cupcakes Daddy and CJ picked up for the occasion.

Mama's Choice

Today we went out to dinner to celebrate Mama's birthday a little early. So Mama got to choose the venue. We went to her favorite brunch spot and it was great for dinner, too. Yum.

Cheers

Here's CJ toasting her friends at brunch out with Daddy. Note: That's cranberry juice.

The Wiggles

Here comes a big gap. We knew one of CJ's top teeth was loose, but just realized that the other guy is working its way out as well. Boy this girl is going to look different soon. Tooth Fairy be ready.

Marshmallow Bread

In an effort to find a place the whole family would enjoy, we tried a new Mac and Cheese restaurant for dinner. It was surprisingly good and there was no wait! CJ's favorite part was the "marshmallow bread". She had a rice krispie treat ice cream sandwich for dessert and it was yummy. I'm sure we'll be back.

Castle Building

We went to the Children's Museum with a girl from CJ's school, but after a few minutes, CJ got wrapped up in castle building and that kept her busy for the majority of her time. This time she worked with the bigger blocks and she built this amazing staircase up to the top tower.

CJ's Choice

It was CJ's turn to pick the hike and guess what she chose? The stone house, of course.

The Ultimate

CJ had the day off from school so we took it easy. We walked to the library and store and enjoyed some time practicing signs with our new sign language book over a treat at the coffee shop. When we got home we decided to make the ultimate peanut butter chocolate squares from CJ's very own cookbook. She did a great job of crushing graham cracker crumbs and helping mix everything together as well as melting butter and chocolate in the microwave. They are so yummy - taste like Reese's peanut butter cups.

Art Imitates Life

CJ came home from school this week with a little TV she'd created. When you turned the paper, it could look like a "T" or a "V". It also had a little remote taped to it.
But the revealing part was when you turned it over and it said "MAC". As CJ describes it, "It's a Mac TV. That's the brand."

Building Afternoon

We know that this girl likes to build with Legos. And when we saw that the Children's Museum was having a Lego Castle exhibit, CJ wanted to go again. She camped out in one area and worked her magic with the little blocks.

Back in the Car

We headed out for a day in Hood River, this time in Mama's car. Little B settled right in, comfortable as usual.
